Teacher (at a podium): "In today's world, a deep conceptual grasp of statistics is fundamental for citizenship." Student: "We're going to learn so much in this class!"
Teacher: "That's why we'll spend the next 13 weeks carefully manipulating sigma notation." Student: "So far I've learned the world is cruel and unfeeling."
