The Grinch in Graphs

February 27, 2019Original blog post

Dr. Seuss in graphs: heart health rises with heart size, then falls. The Grinch's heart started two sizes too small and grew three sizes, overshooting the optimum.

Transcript

"Mr. Grinch was a mean one, the meanest of all, for his cold, inky heart was two sizes too small. Then the Grinch heard some songs as he sat on a sleigh and his frosty black heart grew three sizes that day. Now, whatever the gains to his spiritual wealth, this was one step too far for his cardiac health." [Graph: "heart health" vs. "heart size," an arch; "before Christmas" on the rising side, "after Christmas" past the peak]
