Bond: "What's your nefarious scheme, Mathematician?" Villain: "Well, now that you're in my clutches, Mr. Bond, I suppose there's no harm in my explaining it." Bond (thinking): "Ha! These foolish villains! They're always so eager to lecture!"

[45 minutes later] Villain (at a whiteboard of formulas): "Note that this aspect of the robbery has a pleasing generalization to complex-valued currencies." Bond (thinking): "I wish villains were more into active learning strategies."
