Dilation Savings Time

March 17, 2021Original blog post

A humble alternative to daylight saving time: fix sunrise at 6am and sunset at 6pm, and let the hours stretch and shrink. A free daytime hour might be longer than a free nighttime one.

Transcript

"Dilation Savings Time: define sunrise as 6am, and sunset as 6pm; the hours change length accordingly" (on the phone) "I only have one free hour this afternoon. But if you wait until tonight, I have a full 40 minutes."
